1 — The Desktop/Print/Logo License
Use the font for any non-embedded design, like branding, identity and design-system purposes, printed artwork, books, magazines, static digital assets, apparel-design, poster, album cover and more. Use the fonts to create a logo or wordmark for one brand. If you want to do it for another brand you’ll need to buy another license.
You can use that logo or wordmark everywhere and unlimited without any restrictions. For multiple users license contact us via e-mail (contact@karajan.cz) and we will figure out the best price conditions for you.
2 — The Web/App/Social Media License
The Web license is needed for any website, microsite and subdomain where the font is embedded. You will need the license to reflect the number of employees working for the domain’s company where the font is used. You will need 1 license per website. For multiple users license contact us via e-mail (contact@karajan.cz) and we will figure out the best price conditions for you.
The App license is needed for any application (mobile or desktop) and software where the font is embedded. You will need 1 license per app and/or software and the license coverage do not have to reflect the anticipated total monthly active users.
3 — The Desktop/Web License
This is a one stop, all-in-one license solution that will cover all types of imaginable media (i.e., desktop/print, branding, logo/wordmark, social media, web, app, game, e-pup, ad’s and video) for one brand / company. This is a perpetual license, that will grow with your company and needs, and you will be able to share the license with subcontractors during your work relationsship (i.e.,PR Agency’s, external developer and production partner) Companies who expect to grow quickly, or who intend to use the fonts on a wide spectrum of media, often prefer this. Buy font files on behalf of a client
You are entitled to buy font files for your clients as a payment facilitator. However, it's important to note that your clients must be the license holder and agree to our End User License Agreement. Designers, agencies, and studios should purchase a license for the digital font based on their client's company size, and charge them for it. If you are working on behalf of clients, you do not need to purchase a license for your own use. You can use the font on behalf of your client and for yourself. However, you cannot use the font for another client.
Each client needs their own license
If a designer is using our fonts for multiple clients, each of those clients needs to have their own license. However, at Karajan Type the Designer can always use the font for their own purposes.
Licences are not share-able with any third parties.
Your purchased Licenses can only be used within your Company and for the client and cannot be transferred any further. Each and every "Entity" (like a third party Freelancer, Developer, Advertising, Marketing, Social Media or PR Agency… ) who will need access to the font-files, will need an own License.
Font / Typeface Modifications require a custom license.
It is expressly prohibited to modify Karajan Type Foundry Lettershapes, Glyphs and Material by, disassembling, decompiling, extracting, altering, merging it, or similar to create new letter-appearances, others than the clean, original state of the font itself. You may not convert, modify or rename the original font under any circumstance. You must contact us to discuss any modifications as a bespoke, custom project, which will in any case require a custom license.
